Launch of my site + Life updates

It’s official, I’m now a university graduate (Lasalle College of the Arts) with a BA(Hons) in Design Communication. It’s been less than two months since my graduation and since then, I’ve been spending time on a few personal projects, working on creative jobs and starting side-businesses.

Website refresh and update:

I decided to refresh my personal portfolio site with my own design. I initially tried to develop it on my own, but it was too stressful and time consuming. I had to learn how to host my own sites, understand the basics of WordPress, themes, templates, and so much more. No doubt I could do a simple portfolio site on WordPress using a standard template, but I wanted some features that required coding and technical expertise. Doing it on my own would also mean that I had to spend time picking up intermediate WordPress development and coding skills. So… I enlisted the help of a web developer, Li Wen, to bring my site to life. What you are viewing now is an amalgamation of the work put in by the both of us.

The site also has a ‘journal’ function, in which I intend to share my thoughts on the industry, personal opinions and general life updates.

Moving forward:

I’m currently finalising my work on my commercial portfolio / creative studio – Studio Myriad, and working on a handcrafting store, LUKI, with my brother. I’m excited to share more about them soon, updates will be available once both of them are fully launched! The Daily Movement, another side-business that I am a part of, is more or less self-sustainable now. Once all my endeavours are stable and self-sustainable, I plan to look for a full-time job at the end of 2021 / start of 2022.
